(WIHCUA) and the St. Maarten Medical Center officially ratified the new Collective Labor Agreement (CLA

On Thursday, December 14th, the Windward Islands Health Care Union Association (WIHCUA) and the St. Maarten Medical Center officially ratified the new Collective Labor Agreement (CLA). This significant agreement, spanning a duration of three years from July 2023 to June 2026, directly addresses concerns previously voiced by the union on behalf of its members.

The signing ceremony involved key figures, including the management team of the Sint Maarten Medical Center, led by Dr. Holiday, and representatives from WIHCUA, with Brunilda Illidge at the helm.

The Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Sint Maarten Medical Center, Jimmy Challenger, expressed his sentiments, highlighting that the freshly-inked Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) mirrors the new working conditions and mutually agreed-upon terms between the employer and employees of SMMC. This milestone marks a substantial stride towards fostering a harmonious and equitable work environment for all involved parties.
