Sint Maarten Day Message 2023: Deputy Leader of the Unified Resilient Sint Maarten Movement (URSM), Christopher Wever

November 9, 2023  -Philipsburg– This special day, as the sun rises over our beloved Sint Maarten, I, Christopher Wever, Deputy Leader of the Unified Resilient Sint Maarten Movement (URSM), extend my warmest St. Maarten Day greetings to all the proud residents of this beautiful island.

St. Maarten Day (November 11), is not just another date on the calendar; it’s a time-honored tradition, a day of celebration, and a reminder of the remarkable legacy left to us by our ancestors. It is a day when we come together, united by our shared history, culture, and dreams for the future.
Our island, once known as the “Land of Salt,” reflects the indomitable spirit of our forefathers who braved challenges, adversity, and hard work to make this place their home. It’s a testament to their resilience, determination, and unbreakable bond with this land.
I reflect today as a patriot, committed to the promise of a brighter future for Sint Maarten. With the upcoming Parliamentary Elections on January 11, 2023, I pledge to work tirelessly to advance the interests of our island and its people. I believe in the potential for growth and prosperity that lies within our reach.
I want to take this opportunity to salute all the heroes, past and present, who have played pivotal roles in shaping Sint Maarten into the thriving and diverse community that it is today. Their dedication and sacrifices have laid the foundation for the progress we continue to achieve.
As we prepare to gather for the cultural events and festivities that mark this day, let us also look forward to the positive changes that lie ahead. Together, URSM can uplift our island, create more opportunities, and enhance the quality of life for every Sint Maartener.
In the spirit of unity, let us embrace the future with hope, gratitude, and determination. Happy St. Maarten Day to you all, and may this special occasion be a source of inspiration and renewed commitment to the well being of our beloved Sint Maarten.
On behalf of my family and fellow candidates have a safe and enjoyable
Happy Sint Maarten Day.
