Medical specialists willing to engage in dialogue with Silvania

July  7, 2023  –WILLEMSTAD – Minister Silvania has taken an initial step towards reconciliation as he invites the management of CMC and the board of the association of employed medical specialists for a dialogue.  

Michel Berry, chairman of the specialists’ association, has expressed openness to engaging in a conversation. He hopes that the minister will present a proposal to address the issue of the salary cap.  

The medical specialists argue that the legislation on income top standardization should not be applicable to their profession, considering that this group is exempted in all countries within the kingdom. However, their attempt to seek exemption through legal means was unsuccessful, as the court ruled against the hospital and the doctors on all points.
