Former Prime Minister Maria Liberia-Peters appoint as ambassador of her political party

April 20, 2023  –WILLEMSTAD – Maria Liberia-Peters, a prominent figure in politics, has been appointed as the ambassador of the political party PNP. The announcement was made during the party’s 75th anniversary celebration, which took place at the WTC. Liberia-Peters received this honorary title in recognition of her contributions to politics over the years. She is widely known for her role as the first female Prime Minister of the Netherlands Antilles and her many accomplishments during her tenure. 

One of Liberia-Peters’ major achievements was securing a contract with the Venezuelan oil company PdVDSA, after the departure of Shell in 1985. This was a significant accomplishment for the Netherlands Antilles and helped boost the country’s economy.
