CHAMPS UPDATE: KC open 30-point lead… as Edwin Allen, Hydel battle royale continues

April 1, 2023  -Defending champions Kingston College has extended their lead in the race to retain their title, while Edwin Allen High School has regained the lead entering Saturday’s final day of the 2023 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships.

Kingston College (KC) who assumed a narrow three-point lead (124-121) over nearest rival Jamaica College (JC) after Thursday’s third day of the five-day competition, increased that lead to 30 points (190 to 160), allied with strong performances in Friday’s qualifiers ahead of Saturday’s finals.

Calabar High School sits in third place on 95 points, followed by St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) on 54, with St Jago High School rounding out the top five with 37 points.
