52-year-old man arrested for threatening ex-wife

May 9, 2023 –WILLEMSTAD – On Monday morning, the police apprehended a 52-year-old man in connection with threats made against his ex-wife. The incident occurred on Schottegatweg-Noord. According to the Curaçao Police Force, the woman was driving her car when she realized she was being pursued. 

The vehicle tailing her turned out to be her ex-husband. Acting quickly, she drove directly to the Rio Canario police station, where she sought refuge and reported the incident. The man was swiftly arrested as he followed her to the police station. He is a 52-year-old Curaçaoan. 

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident. The punishment the man will receive has not yet been determined.
